Cookie notices are usually long because the sites behind them load a crowd of trackers. This one is short for the opposite reason: Monitor Doktor does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies or social media pixels, and it does not load scripts from companies that would follow you around the web.
The one thing we do store
When you answer the notice at the bottom of the screen, your browser saves a tiny entry in its local storage. Technically this is not a cookie, but it works in a similar way, so we list it here for completeness.
| Item | Type | Contents | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Notice answer | Local storage | A single digit: accepted or declined | Stops the notice from asking again on every page | Until you clear your browser data |
That entry stays on your device. It is not sent with page requests, it carries no identifier, and we cannot read it from our side. Choosing "decline" changes nothing about how the site works, because there is nothing optional to switch off.
Things we leave out
- No visitor statistics tools counting your clicks or time on page.
- No advertising networks or retargeting tags.
- No embedded share buttons that phone home to social platforms. Our share links are plain links that only do something if you click them.
- No third-party fonts or video players loaded in the background.
Server logs are not cookies
Like any website, ours is delivered by a server that records basic technical details of each request. Those logs are explained on How We Handle Data. They do not involve anything being stored in your browser.
Changing your mind
To reset your answer, clear the stored data for monitordoktor.com in your browser settings. In most browsers you will find this under privacy or site settings, often by clicking the small icon next to the address bar. The next time you open a page, the notice will appear again and you can choose differently.
You can also block local storage for this site completely. The articles will still load and read normally; the notice may simply reappear more often.
If this ever changes
Should we add anything that stores information in your browser beyond the item above, we will describe it on this page before it goes live and ask for your consent where the law requires it. This page was last reviewed in October 2026. Questions are welcome via our contact page.
